Since graduating with an MFA in Costume Design from UCLA's prestigious school of Theater, Film and Television in 2005, Samantha Kuester has been steadily working as a Costume Designer in the Entertainment Industry. From designing period pieces to contemporary, comedy, drama, and everything in between, Samantha prides herself on a well developed and diverse portfolio of work.
Among her television credits are The Baxters for Amazon Prime Video, The Menendez Brothers, Mystery Science Theater 3000 the Return and Richie Rich for Netflix, The Most Dangerous Animal of All for FX/ Hulu, and they Way Down on Max. Samantha's film portfolio includes Diamond in the Rough, Apache Junction, Fred 3, Camp Fred, The Kiss List, Unleashed, Babysplitters, and the Female Brain.
Samantha has been nominated for two Costume Designer's Guild Awards in the Excellence in Short Form Design category. The first one being in 2020 when she collaborated with the Killers on their short film for their latest album release "Imploding the Mirage" and music video for "Caution". Samantha's second nomination was in 2025 for Tick Tick Tick, a promo short for Six Flags Halloween Haunt.

As a collaborator, Samantha is passionate about bringing a Director's vision to life by creating realistic and relatable characters through her costumes. Samantha also effectively communicates with other departments to create a cohesive look for the film. Samantha prides herself on being a team player, organized, budget conscious, diplomatic, and solving problems rather than dwelling on them..
